VioletteViolette is made on a new original last and is engineered to be flexible but supportive. The last's anatomical form is designed to provide the dancer with greater comfort and excellent support in the metatarsal area. Designed and handmade in Russia, R-Class pointe shoes combine traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation to deliver exceptional fit, support, and performance. Developed in collaboration with Bolshoi Theatre ballerinas and hand-finished by expert artisans, every pair is engineered to meet the demands of today's dancers.
What makes the RC Collection special
The shoes we stock come from R-Class's RCCollection range, built using a pleatless construction method rather than the traditional turned-shoe approach. In practice, that means a smoother platform with less bulk under the ball of the foot, a cleaner sculpted look, and a shoe that holds its shape for longer through rehearsals and performances.
The crown and box are shaped to hug the metatarsals while tapering neatly toward the toes, helping dancers balance securely en pointe with a snug heel and a streamlined silhouette. Vamp height can also be adjusted to suit toe length and training level, so fit can be fine-tuned beyond just size and width.

We've selected three favourite shapes from the RC Collection to cover almost any foot shape, and we chose the quitest option in each series:-
- RC22 — for tapered feet that need room at the metatarsals
- RC32— for square or evenly shaped feet needing balanced platform support

RC20 Series — For Tapered Feet That Need Room to Breathe RC22- The quieter shoe from the RC20 series If your feet taper through the toes but spread out through the ball of the foot, the RC20 sits differently to most Russian-style shoes. Rather than squeezing the whole foot into one narrow shape, it wraps snugly around the toes while leaving genuine room around the metatarsals and any bunions — so you get a secure, supported fit without that pinching, "too narrow" feeling. RC30— Balanced Support for Square Feet RC32- The Quieter version of the series The RC30 is built for dancers with square or fuller feet where all the toes sit at roughly the same length. Rather than tapering to a point, the box spreads weight evenly across a broad platform, giving square-footed dancers the stability and even pressure they need without feeling squeezed at the sides. It keeps a streamlined heel despite the wider platform, so the overall shape stays classic and close-fitting rather than bulky. Who this suits The RC30 tends to work well for dancers who:
Dancers moving across from other Russian-style shoes — Russian Pointe Rubin, Nikolay 3007 or Katya, and Bloch Balance European are common starting points — often find the RC30 gives a steadier platform while keeping a similar classical look. Why dancers choose the RC30

Fitting note: as always, sizing varies between brands — a proper fitting will confirm the right model, width and shank for you
RC40 series — Structured Support for Confident Alignment RC42- the quieter shoe in the series. The RC40/ 42 is built for dancers who want more structure underfoot. Where the RC20 suits tapered feet needing room at the metatarsals, the RC40 takes a different approach: extra volume through the box paired with a slimmer heel, so dancers get further over the platform while keeping a close, secure fit at the back of the shoe. It's a good fit for dancers who want a shoe that helps hold their alignment and takes some of the strain out of a long rehearsal, without feeling restrictive. Why dancers choose the RC40/ 42

Fitting note: often compared to Radiance. The RC40 has more volume in the box and less in the heel than an RC30 — if you're used to a Radiance fit, this is a close equivalent with R-Class construction.
